This leather jacket is one of my most treasured items, I wear it with everything! I've had it for years, so it's soft and ultra-comfortable. It's by Australian designer Jacqui Demkiw of White Suede, also one of my favourites. She does a different style each season, but this asymmetrical still remains on trend due to its simplicity.
We enjoyed drinks and dinner with friends last night. The sun had almost disappeared by the time we went out, so I was probably a little too keen wearing this outfit... I swapped my leather jacket for my coat before heading out!

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday... wondering around the market amongst fresh fruits, vegetables, the smell of freshly-baked bread and my favourite, cheese!

With warm afternoons I've packed away my boots and fell in love with my Pretty Ballerinas all over again. I added two pairs to my collection on a recent trip to the Covent Garden store in London - including these cute leopard and red ballet flats.

I'm a big fan of the Glamourai. I’ve followed this blog for some time now and always find plenty of inspiration through her beautiful outfits. The Glamourai introduced me to Kelly Wearstler. I've spent hours idolizing her baroque-style Interior Design projects for years, now her new jewellery & accessories collection is nothing short of stunning! I’d like to buy everything...

A number of her pieces are on my August wish list:

I'm so happy spring is almost here! Although it does call for tran-seasonal dressing, which can be tricky with cold mornings and warm afternoons. I don't like wearing too many layers so I usually rely on a jacket.

I love island holidays! Being in Australia we are so close to some of the most amazing islands and beaches in the world - Queensland, Bali, Thailand, Fiji, the French Polynesian islands, Malaysia... more on those later. This entry is about Fiji...
The Yasawan Islands are a magical place with beautiful locals who could teach us a thing or two about living a simple, happy life. We stayed at Navutu Stars resort, a small traditional Fijian resort on the beach. Here wonderful staff looked after everything, from delicious fresh meals, to snorkling trips, cave and local village visits, candle-lit baths to private dinners.
Nadi Fiji: Yasawa Islands here we come!
By far the best and quickest way from Nadi to the Yasawan Islands is by sea plane. The flight is approximately 35 minutes vs 4-6 hours by boat. Just keep in mind everyone runs on Fijian time, which doesn't always keep to schedule (allow to extra hour).

I love Natasha shoes! These black and gold-chain sandals are the second pair of sandals I have purchased from past collections. They are so comfortable and always have stunning details.

Humid island weather calls for light fabrics, and I love floaty summer dresses! Bamboo and silk cotton fabrics keep me cool, are easy to pack and work with minimal jewellery.

1.  I’m a perfectionist.
2.   I’m a little bit of a control freak. I own a Dymo labeller.  My fiancĂ© would not let me have one as he thought I would label everything in the house. He conceded this year and he was right...
3.   This leads perfectly onto number 3...I like things to be neat, tidy and organised!
4.   I’m fashion-obsessed...I spend more time in the morning reading fashion blogs and websites than I do reading emails in my daily job. I do love my job, but it’s far removed from the fashion world.
5.   I love fashion and design magazines! I subscribe to seven - Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle, Madison, Shop Til You Drop, Real Living, and Inside Out. In addition to purchasing Home Beautiful, Lucky and Grazia most months... WOW, I’ve never written that down before...
6.   I’ve secretly taken photos of my outfits since I saw Clueless...In my 20’s I used to bribe my sister to take photos, now she enjoys it. I do believe a photo never lies.
7.   I like things to be symmetrical. But then again I do like odd numbers, for example a cluster of three photo frames always looks better than four.
8.   I like Chai latte’s made with real tea.
9.   I really do enjoy exercise! I train with friends three mornings a week, and do Pilates twice a week.
10.  I love rearranging furniture and trying new style ideas in my house... I’m not sure my fiancĂ© always agrees. But I feel now I’m in my 30’s my style has evolved and I know exactly what I like and what fits with my style.

I have a small obsession with clutches, so I thought I'd share two of my favourites! I'll post the outfits these inspired later in the week. I adore the texture of both clutches. The Clare Vivier foldover clutch is the perfect size, a beautiful buttery-soft texture and the red works well as the hero piece in a lot of outfits. It's perfect to dress up or down! I bought the Rachael Ruddick clutch two weeks ago and took it out for lunch with the girls on the weekend! Beautiful!

I started writing this blog because my collection of inspirational  files have finally reached a point where they are out of control!

I started collecting fashion and design images, magazine & newspaper clippings, old signs, postcards, etc many years ago. I would then stick, fold and glue them into books, using these ideas to create outfits, make dresses, skirts, rearrange rooms, and generally daydream about all these beautiful things! I am now using them as my style changes and I embark on building my first house.
I realise after following fashion and style blogs for years now, that a blog is a much better outlet. Perhaps it will inspire someone else along the way...
