39. White & blue

In my quest to wear more colour I bought these blue pants a while ago. Besides jeans I never really wore pants, in fact until June this year I didn't own a single pair of pants. Fit is so so important and it takes practise to know exactly what works for your body. I don't think I have it perfected, but I am comfortable, so I guess that's a good thing.

38. 1960's inspiration

When I think of the 60's (and 70's) I think of my mum and all the beautiful dresses she wore in her teenage years. As a teenage myself I used to pour through photo albums full of bright dresses, black makeup and mum's long dark shiny hair with blonde streaks. Here are some photos from the 1960's I love... that can't possibly be Twiggy's real hair!

37. Distracting shoes

I've been looking for the perfect shoes for my wedding. First I found these and thought they would be perfect, although I'm not sure where else I would wear them...

I also found these along the way and forgot I was searching for wedding shoes...

My sister and I fell in love with bright electric shoes whilst shopping last weekend. She was leaning to green, now I'm convinced about blue.

36. Feeling girly

Today was a girly day. A day for a full girly skirt. A day for walking around in the sun...although I did have to work in the office, so the walking part only lasted 20 minutes.

35. Erin Fetherston

Another designer to add to my growing Favourites list. I discovered Erin Fetherston a couple of years ago on a trip to the US. I find her collections glamorous, ladylike, polished and almost whimsical, yet there's an edgier side to every season. I love it, it's the perfect mix!

Clearly a 1960's inspired collection (stepping into 70's with the flowing halter dresses), these twiggy-esque looks are just beautiful. They remind me of the dresses my mum used to wear (and make herself)!

34. Alice & Olivia

After the storm the sun comes back, hooray! I obsessively wore these boots during winter and as I'm not yet ready to give them up I'm pairing them with as many girly dresses as possible. I think the rich maroon colour of this dress is beautiful and suits my fair skin tone to a T!

33. Summer days on the way

The perfect way to end a 30 degree day... off to Dandelion for dinner! Long warm nights is when Melbourne is at its best.

By the way, the Coconut Grill Kingfish with Vietnamese salad is amazing and I also recommend tasting the betel leaves which are packed with flavour. Although the betel leaves at Longrain or Red Spice Road are even better and hard to beat (in my opinion).

Whilst in Bali I went to my new favourite leather-maker Zumi and had two clutches and two pairs of sandals made. They are so talented and can whip things up in days! On the flipside I also managed to lose my favourite Marc Jacobs sunglasses, so I hope the person who finds them enjoys them. Now I'm in the market for a new pair...

No I'm not wearing heels and a clutch to walk our dog, he's patiently waiting to take his lead off to go inside.
