Today is one of those days when it looked amazing and sunny outside, but alas it was an illusion. It was freezing and the wind was blowing at 100kms an hour! It was a struggle even taking these few photos. Now when I say freezing, I mean Melbourne freezing, which is approx 12 degrees - other parts of the world and some of my friends would consider this balmy!

This is one of my favourite dresses. I always feel bright and girly when I wear it.

I discovered US label Emerson Made earlier this year. I must say it has one of the most delightful websites I've seen! I have spent hours looking at the beautiful pictures, clothes and reading the journal - it always makes me smile. It's also another one of those labels where I would like to buy everything! I bought this navy jacket after searching high and low for a well-fitting, good qaulity navy jacket. It fit the bill perfectly.

Two things I adore go hand-in-hand... travel and fashion!

I travel regularly in my job and I've always had a fascination with air hostess uniforms. Even though air travel is not 'glamorised' today as it was in the 40's, 50's and 60's, I love a beautiful uniform and the idea of dressing up to travel. Below are some of my favourite images from the Qantas archive. Take a look through the entire slideshow, it is wonderful.  I can absolutely see why little girls dreamed of becoming an air hostess back then!

Over time, Qantas have had some amazing designers create thier uniforms - YSL, Pucci, Marc Newson, Peter Morrissy. Kit Willow created the cutest ensemble for the Qantas Prix!

These Pedro Garcia sandals are the most comfortable heels I own. The straps are suede and the rest are what I describe as 'compressed cork' and rubber. I wore these to a conference in March where I fluttered around for 8 hours... Albeit my legs were tired from standing up for so long (perhaps I should have been smarter and worn flats), my feet were good!

I must confess I miss looking down at girly red nails... In June I ungracefully slammed my foot in a door which ripped my big toenail off (sounds lovely I know), hence no polish for the tootsies. Another month and I'll *hopefully* be back to shiny red, just in time for summer!

Today I'm wearing the traditional white shirt. When picking this from my wardrobe I realised I owned a number of white shirts... all different of course! But I find it difficult not to buy more. I love the colour white! In addition to my white shirts, I own at least five white dresses because they are so easy to wear and mix & match. My sister seems to like borrowing my white dresses too!

In my ideal world I'd buy everything in Kate Sylvester's SS11/12 collection, its absolutely beautiful! Elegant but girly, the bright colours are perfect for the season but I think the cuts are timeless. Here are my picks:
