63. My shoe room

A few years ago I turned one of our bedrooms into my shoe room. My fiancé built shelves for my shoes, helped wallpaper the room and install new light fittings (lucky he likes doing handyman jobs)... now I've filled the room with shoes and dust collectors. My 3 beautiful nieces spend most of their time in this room when they visit!

My small collection of tea cups, unusual glass bottles and jars and kerosine lamps is growing. These cute jars with butterflies are from my good friend who used them on her wedding tables with pretty little flowers in them... they work well for storing chunky necklaces.

I think my shoe room will forever be a work-in-progress as I keep changing things around. The next thing to do is refurbish the chair I found on eBay, it fits nicely in the corner of the room.

62. Channelling Marilyn

Every girl needs a Marilyn-esque white dress, although this is a little more tennis than Marilyn. This is my favourite from my ever-growing obsession in white dresses and white tops. My mum had these pretty flippy/mini-pleat skirts in the 80's which remind me of the bottom of this dress...I wish she still had them!

61. Black and black

Australian designer Natasha Welsh not only creates my favourite sandals, but beautifully detailed cami's and tops. I seem to add one to my collection on every trip to Bali.

I liked these shorts so much I bought them in two colours, black and plain linen... even better they were on sale. I haven't worn shorts for about five years, I went off them because I couldn't find a pair that were high enough in the waist but not obscenely short in the leg... tough checklist, but I found them! 

60. Bright pink work wear

Recently I've attached myself to pink things. Well I've always liked pink, but at the moment I love bright magenta pinks - they make everything so much brighter! I only got time for a few snaps after work yesterday. There was a small glimpse of sun before the rain...

59. On my shoe list

So many cute shoes... why does summer have to end! These are just a few shoes I'd like to add to my Loeffler Randall collection. I love the woven raffia detail mixed with blues and yellows, it reminds me of summer days in the sun!

58. Parisian chic

With the last days of summer and a long weekend for labour day, Sunday was a day for stripes, linen shorts and ballet flats, a la parisian style... although I'm not quite as glamorous, my obsession with stripes continues.

57. Escaping February

After being away for most of February - both in Thailand and travelling domestically for work - I'm back into my daily routine and giving my blog the love it deserves! Here are a few of my favourite snaps of my February away.
