33. Summer days on the way

The perfect way to end a 30 degree day... off to Dandelion for dinner! Long warm nights is when Melbourne is at its best.

By the way, the Coconut Grill Kingfish with Vietnamese salad is amazing and I also recommend tasting the betel leaves which are packed with flavour. Although the betel leaves at Longrain or Red Spice Road are even better and hard to beat (in my opinion).

Whilst in Bali I went to my new favourite leather-maker Zumi and had two clutches and two pairs of sandals made. They are so talented and can whip things up in days! On the flipside I also managed to lose my favourite Marc Jacobs sunglasses, so I hope the person who finds them enjoys them. Now I'm in the market for a new pair...

No I'm not wearing heels and a clutch to walk our dog, he's patiently waiting to take his lead off to go inside.

31. Bali wedding I

I've just come back from Bali where my partner and I attended our beautiful friend's wedding. Its also the location we will be getting married next year, so we took advantage of the opportunity to do some research for our own destination wedding.

Bali is one of our favourite island destinations because there are so many holiday styles and ways you can enjoy the culture and beautiful surroundings - everything from the peace and  tranquillity of the Ubud rice paddies, to the surf coast and templates of Uluwatu, to the crazy Kuta markets and the trendy Seminyak boutique district... and that's just the start. More on Bali holidays later...

One of the hardest things about attending a destination wedding is coming home. I wish I could have stayed an extra week or so... next time!
